Trinity Schools Trust Board elevates sports facilities with a range of Perennial’s equipment, including the Robot Pro X and LED scoreboard

For more than a decade, Trinity Schools Trust Board has partnered with Perennial to supply sporting equipment across its three schools, Rathkeale College, St Matthew’s Collegiate, and Hadlow Prep. From goals and cricket covers to tennis nets and sumi soakers, it’s a relationship built on trust, quality, and service.

“The service is perfect for us,” says Brian James, who oversees Property and Operations for the Trust. “We’ve worked with Perennial for years and years - it’s a longstanding relationship.”

Over time, the Trust has invested in a wide range of Perennial’s products, but two recent additions stand out, the Robot Pro X line marker and the QS100 LED Scoreboard. For Brian and his team, both represent a step forward in technology and efficiency. “The Robot Pro X has been widely positively received by everyone,” Brian explains. “The efficiency is amazing, the GPS marks everything, so we don’t need old line markings anymore. It’s not so labour intensive to prepare the fields, and we’ve even cut down on paint usage.”

The Robot Pro X has also allowed the team to expand their reach beyond school grounds. “We’re not just doing the school fields, we’re doing community ones as well,” says Brian. “It’s definitely a long-term investment that will keep adding value.”

The QS100 LED Scoreboard has had a similar impact. Installed by Perennial in 2022, it’s now a key feature at Rathkeale College. “It’s multipurpose, we use it for cricket, rugby, football, and as a general noticeboard,” Brian says. “It’s been a great addition to the campus, and it’s sparked interest at our other schools wanting one too.”

When it comes to football, the Trust has purchased several sets of Alpha and Velocity goals over the years, each chosen to meet the unique needs of their schools. “We needed a variety of goals for different purposes,” Brian explains. “The junior schools needed smaller portable goals, St Matthew’s needed easily portable ones because the field is used for multiple sports, and at Rathkeale we’ve got permanent goals because the field is always set up for football.”

The combination of lightweight, portable goals and the Robot Pro X has made managing multiple fields and schools easier than ever, while cricket covers, netting, and sumi soakers have helped the property team prepare grounds faster and get students back on the grass earlier in the season.

“Perennial’s products enable us to have a point of difference in the education and sporting market,” Brian says. “It makes life easier for our property staff and helps us deliver what’s required by our schools.” Having one supplier across so many sports is also key. “Consistency is important for us,” Brian says. “We know what we’re getting from Perennial and they know what we want and why. The relationship makes everything easier.”

After more than a decade of partnership, it’s clear the feeling is mutual. “How long we’ve been working with Perennial is a testament to their price, service, and delivery,” Brian says. “They’re fantastic to deal with, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
